Arabic & Instrumental Islamic Sciences

Equips students with the tools to engage primary Islamic sources while developing strong Arabic proficiency, enabling participation in contemporary intellectual and scholarly debates.

Qur’anic Recitation

Focused on the Prophetic tradition of conveying revelation in the language of the people, preparing students to recite, understand, and teach the Qurʾān with precision and clarity.
Chair: Mawlana Arif Kamal

Hadith

Offers an intellectually rigorous and spiritually grounded approach to the study of ḥadīth. Students learn to transmit, preserve, and interpret the Sunnah for meaningful engagement in contemporary contexts.
Chair: Mawlana Bilal Ali

Islamic Law

Covers both Furū’ al-fiqh (legal rulings) and Uṣūl al-fiqh (legal methodology). Students gain mastery in one of the four Sunni legal schools, enabling them to research, analyze, and apply Islamic law effectively.
Chair: Mufti Hisham Dawood

Theology

Teaches ‘ilm uṣūl al-dīn (roots of religion) and al-Kalām (Islamic discourse). Students learn to establish religious truths with evidence and engage critically with philosophical and theological challenges.

Qurʿānic Exegesis

Develops advanced skills in tafsīr, connecting linguistic mastery, interpretive methodology, and contextual understanding to explore the message of the Qurʾān.

Humanities

Provides the tools to engage the Western academic tradition through history, philosophy, logic, and writing, complementing the classical Islamic curriculum.

Islamic History

Focuses on the life of the Prophet ﷺ and Ṣaḥābah (May Allah be pleased with them), using primary and secondary sources to develop historical understanding and analytical skills.
