PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Advanced Study in Qurʾānic Interpretation
A one-year advanced specialization program designed to develop scholarly competence in tafsīr, equipping students with classical and contemporary tools for Qurʾānic interpretation. Students engage primary and secondary sources within the tafsīr tradition, with training in uṣūl al-tafsīr, methodologies, and the intellectual heritage of Qurʾānic exegesis.
The program builds an understanding of how meaning is formed, transmitted, and interpreted across exegetical traditions and historical contexts, bridging classical tafsīr heritage with contemporary academic inquiry. It prepares students for advanced engagement and contribution to Qurʾānic scholarship.
